BUDZGIVING BUDZGIVING

One highlight from last year was our cannabis education panel featuring VIP guests Dr. Colin P. Nuckolls, Dr. Ryan S. Sultan, and Dr. Benjamin Caplan, whose expertise offered deep insight into cannabis science, efficacy, and public understanding. Their perspectives continue to shape a more informed and connected future for this industry.

This year, Budzgiving continued to evolve. We centered education around sun-grown cannabis, a cornerstone of what we believe in. We shared research, effects-based insights, and the environmental and experiential reasons we champion sun-grown flower in a city dominated by indoor myths. And of course, we brought the full Vitabudz experience—our effects-based products, our community-first approach, and our commitment to keep cannabis fun, informed, and accessible.
Some of our favorite friends, Ari and JP of WeedCyclers, rolled in with a sewing machine and turned our used mylar bags into reusable totes and accessories. It was sustainability with flair—a reminder that the culture can evolve without losing its creativity or heart.

We were also joined by The Other Magazine, one of our partners, who brought copies of their latest issue—bridging cannabis, culture, and conversation in a way that aligns perfectly with the spirit of Budzgiving.

And this year also marked a milestone worth celebrating: with our newly received micro license, we’re already looking toward the future. Our friends and future partners Adam and Droo of Skewville joined us with a custom “six-pack” of glass bongs—an imaginative ode to their art gallery space and their build-a-bong workshop.
Every year, as the season shifts and the city settles into its colder rhythm, Vitabudz gathers its community for Budzgiving—a celebration created to honor the people who make this industry real: the budtenders who guide customers every day, the dispensaries who open their doors to new voices, the farmers and growers who nurture the plant, and the supporters who champion us year-round. Budzgiving is our way of giving back, not with speeches or spotlights, but with connection, education, and a whole lot of free smoke.
What started as a simple thank you has grown into an annual ritual, a space where cannabis culture, science, and creativity converge. In past years, Budzgiving has featured panels with scientists and chemists, breaking down the plant from a technical angle and helping our community understand the “why” behind what they consume.
Their piece wasn’t just art, it was a preview of the creative, collaborative spirit we’re excited to expand as we build what’s next.

Past, present, and future, Budzgiving is more than a party. It’s the yearly pulse check that reminds us why we do this work: to lift each other up, to share what we know, and to build a community where gratitude is just as important as good weed. And as we look ahead, we’re committed to expanding that mission—more education, more collaboration, more unexpected moments, and always, more space for the people who make this industry possible.
